Just to mess you up, the above graphic is oriented with the South to the left and the North to the right. My Bad. This will be one of my first challenging legs as it has a steep rocky accent onto Bethel ridge. With 4 wheels, not the most challenging, but on two, it has the ability to end the trip early. Kate had a patient who did just that last year when he put a foot down at the wrong place and had to be evac'ed with a broken leg. One of my goal on this trip is to finish with all limbs intact and not to take too many chances. (As I post This, I had decided to skip Bethel Ridge because I am on my own and the route is a little hazardous. However, I missed the turn off to my alternate route and ended up going to the top of the ridge anyway. then I came back down to go to the campsite that I had picked out. That was fun) as you can tell, I decided to start the second leg of my trip and white pass,Rimrock Lake, and Bethel Ridge are behind me
Landmarks on this leg will be crossing White Pass, rounding Rimrock Lake, Bethel Ridge, down the ridge to the town of Nile, Cleman Mountain, the Oak Creek Wildlife Area and
then Umtanume Ridge. I might forgo the last and take an alternate route into Ellensberg, as it's a barren mountain with a shit-show of a trail (or so I hear). I lucked into an elk camp Not being occupied and im calling it home for the night. https://youtu.be/G6OqRkt8DRQ
Bonus there’s an actual Outhouse here buried in the woods. Sweet!
